sweet caroline

in just 8 weeks, i will be an aunt for the first time.  i can't wait!!!  not only am i excited to spoil someone rotten, and take about a bazillion photos of her, but also, she is a her.  a little girl.  tutus.  handbands.  pink.  don't get me wrong, i do love my boys, and can not imagine my life without them, but i so look forward to little caroline's arrival and enjoying everything that comes with being an aunt.

i was home in greenville, sc a couple weeks ago, and attended a couple of julie's showers.  we also took some time to take some maternity shots...

my mom is really excited about having a little girl in our family too.

week 30 - purple challenge

a couple weeks ago, i had a session with my cousin in greenville, sc for her senior portraits.

i love the green railing along the bus depot and the purple paint which complimented her eyes so well.

annemarie

a couple of weeks ago, i had the opportunity to capture sweet annemarie's one year portraits.  what made this session so special to me, is that she is the daughter of a buddy of mine from high school.  getting older might not be the coolest thing in the world, but being able to be around your friends and their children, and share their memories with them, make it all worth while.

her mama got this cute little ladybug tutu from Little Divas Tutus, at which 25% of the profits go to St. Jude's Hospital.

that's what our grandpa jack called her.  and now she is grown, just one year away from graduating from high school.  she does some really great things...she's an explorer at a local fire department and is learning to be a cna through her high school program.  and she's lots of help with my two boys.  :)

i'm very proud of katie, and i know our grandpa would be too.

my husband and i had the great opportunity to stay at disney's animal kingdom lodge for our 5th wedding anniversary.  we stayed in a room facing the savannah.  this guy was right outside of our balcony for our entire stay.  he and todd were good friends by the end.

my family and i celebrated our first fourth of july in our new home, in our fabulous neighborhood.  great friends, great fun, and lots of great laughs.  i look forward to many more years of good times in our little piece of paradise!
