I Just Can't Help Myself

I love my boys.  I do.  And of course like all moms, I think everything my kids do is the cutest!  Here is some of their cuteness from today:

Ryan's love affair with the fridge, caught on camera.

This is their straight face looks.

My baby's teeth.

Ryan has discovered the idea of taking bites.  Even of little things, like his puffs.

I always say that Jack's nose looks like an upside down Mickey head.  Maybe that is just the Disney freak in me.

Boys will be boys.

This is my sweet, sweet man offering me his last candy ball.  God love him.

Pigtoes

Just some shots from a normal morning in the Wind household!

Breakfast with Ryan.

Jack's sweet little piggies...that are not so little any more!

I love when Ryan's hair is fluffed out.  It's the only time you can actually TELL he has hair!

There's always a good portion of the morning dedicated to playing with trains, planes, and automobiles.

Ryan gets a kick out of playing peek a boo, even if it's just with his shirt.

Boys and Bubbles

This weekend, we kept a low profile.  I recovered from a stomach/cold bug, while Todd spent some QT with the boys so that I could rest.  The big activity of the weekend, was blowing bubbles.  I think Todd had more fun than the little guys.  :)

Deep concentration.

The bubbles stuck to the wet concrete.

Jack liked to chase the bubbles that Daddy made.

Double Doses of Cuteness

Every month, I have a little photo shoot with Ryan, and will continue to do so until his first year...which is now only a month away.  I can not believe he will be one years old in one month.  He's still a baby!  But yet...there are so many things about him already that make him a toddler.  He is starting to walk.  Ryan completely idolizes his big brother Jack and I know that is his motivation to do the things that he does as quickly has he does.  For Ryan's 11 month portraits, I wanted him photographed with Jack.  It was only appropriate, since Jack will be 3 years old in 2 months.  So, we had a double shoot take place.  Grandma Weeze was on call to help out.  Thanks Grandma Weeze!
Here are a few of my favorites:

I love this picture because I know I have seen this expression from a picture of Todd when he was about this age.

Coastal Blue Designs

Over the weekend, I photographed some product shots for my sister-in-law's Etsy site.  The scarf that she made is beautiful!  Check her out!

Appreciating Family

After a night of delicious food cooked by my brother Eric, and an evening of crafting with Julie, I am fully appreciating this time with my family.  There are no specific events that took place that made it special, just being able to be near them was all that I needed.  This time with you guys...Mom, Dad, Eric, and Julie, has meant so much to me.  Thank you and I love you.

Some of today...

Mom and I walked Carson this morning.  I was trying to shoot the sidewalk, and she got in my way.  Oh well.

Bubbles on the sand of the beach.

Outside of my parents car, driving down Ocean Blvd.

Dad.

Holding back the beach.

This is one of my faves.

Across the street from where the old Pavilion use to be.

A Breath of Fresh Air, Literally.

Leaving the northeast and heading down to South Carolina was like a weight lifting off my shoulders.  Seeing my Mom and Dad was something that I really needed - they always make me feel good.  Don't get me wrong, I wish Todd and the boys were here to share this with me.  But, I know the boys are well-loved at home with Grandma Weeze, and that Todd is enjoying his mama's home cooking.

I want to use this trip, not only as a chance to spend some quality time with my parents, brother and sister in law, but as a bit of photo therapy.

Here are some shots I took yesterday:

Charlotte airport - layover

My brother and me.  Far right - Crescent Bank, the bank he works for.

I love the sidewalks near the beach, made of shells

You know you are on the southern coast...

Sidewalk at night

The fountain in my brother's backyard that keeps him up all night

"Things" I love

I've been feeling a little...out of sorts lately.  It's that whole idea of trying to dig yourself out of a hole, but not getting anywhere because you just seem to dig yourself further and deeper into the hole.  I decided to take a look around at all of the things that we have - the things that make me truly happy.  I cataloged those things in about 60 different pictures.  I wasn't too surprised that most of those "things" ended up being pictures of my boys.  Of the lot, here are some of my faves, in no particular order:
The toys.  It means that somewhere near by sits a little boy, or maybe two, that I love very much.

Jack has been one of my prime models for the past 3 years.  This is him throwing himself back in exhaustion from having his picture taken.

The stool for the boys that my Dad made.  A great collaboration of his carpentry skills and my painting ability.

Since Todd wasn't home...pictures...of...Todd.  I do love this man, and he makes me smile.

Ryan's pigtoes.  And his thighs.  Oh heck, just about all of him makes my heart flutter.

One of my all time favorite looks.

I can't believe he is going to be 3 in a couple of months.
